After losing it all, Vivian Risi was determined to not give up! Today as a successful female entrepreneur who employees over 1000 people, Vivian shares her life lessons designed to inspire people of all ages with the core message:
YES YOU CAN!
It All Starts With You
When my house was foreclosed on and my dreams for my family crushed, I felt the fear and humiliation, sure, but I didn’t crawl under a rock and give up on life. I packed our bags and moved on, treating it instead as a fresh start. When my office was sold and I was left fighting for my livelihood, I found my inner strength and got to work, using whatever I had. As everything else life had to offer came hurtling my way, I learned to swallow my pride, dust myself off and do what had to be done to change my situation.
This is the thing - and this is important, so pay attention:
The world is not out to get you.
You are not at the center of some universal plot to destroy your chances for happiness. Stop being paranoid, give up on the superstitious beliefs and get real! The world and the people in it are not out to get you. Quite honestly, I think they all have better things to do. By engaging in these delusions, the only one plotting against you and standing in your way is you! All the procrastination, the fear, and the excuses – it all comes down to YOU. And if this is how you’ve been living, then you’re doing a great job of stopping yourself short. In the story of your life, the only one with a conspiracy theory is you. I call it self-sabotage.
Your best chance of happiness lies out here in the real world where the person most accountable for your life’s circumstance is you. Take control of how things are going, be responsible for your state of affairs, and if it’s not to your liking, start making some changes. Stop procrastinating by playing the blame game or looking outward for the answers as to why things didn’t work out.The past is the past, and while there’s much to learn from looking back at it, you can’t expect to stay there and still move forward. Be present, be proactive and keep your head up and eyes forward. That’s where your future is, always just ahead of that next step. There’s always light at the end of the tunnel, you just have to put one foot in front of the other and get moving.
